Miguel's Bachelor Party - Day 4 - Macau

Anyone been on a boat with jet engines? Cross that one off the bucket list. A common method of transportation between Hong Kong and Macau are the Turbo Jet boats. Everyone is funneled into the hull that is outfitted like a plane with windows just big enough so you can see how fast you really are going, which is about 51 mph. Within the hour, we were back on land and rushed off to the MGM Grand.

Macau appears to be a miniature version of Las Vegas, but on the books, it officially backs Sin City. So, just imagine how much money is pumped through this small town by a select few players. The town is not without money either. It's clearly visible in the decor and lavish attention to detail in all hotels. To make matters worse, there is an underground mall that caters to the disgustingly rich as well.

These are the kind of stores you want to walk into, but don't want to truly know how rich you really are not. Care to purchase a $60,000 watch that is sitting on display in the window? Imagine the cost of the ones they don't want to show.

Macau stands out not only due to the hotel business, but due to the colonization of Portugal in centuries past. The architecture, food, and language are all still very present in Macau. It's truly a unique city with a unique breeding of cultures and activities.

Now that we settled into our room, it was time to hit the casinos for the night. We started by checking out the in-house lounge that had a live band. The band was fun, but what was more entertaining was witnessing the first instance of the explicitness of escorts. The girls worked the room, stalking their prey and carefully choosing those men that appeared to be looking for a good time and didn't mind parting with some of their cash on the trip.

However, this grew tiresome, so we found our way to the Playboy Club in the Sands. The bunnies lived up to the imagination and so did the place. If you find yourself in Macau and want to be thoroughly entertained, visit the Playboy Club. You'll find it not to be as pretentious as a club in the states and yet still have the same or better qualities of a luxury club.
