I Scream!!!!!

You can have the worst day of the week. Or, you can have the best day of the week. The wonderful thing about ice cream is that it compliments any day that you are having.

If you are interested in getting away from the usual Ben & Jerry's, Cold Stone, Maggie Moo's commercial crack, I highly recommend making a trip to Max's best ice cream shop in Glover Park, D.C. Since the address is still fresh in my mind, here you go: 2614 Wisconsin Ave. NW

Max is consistently running the shop. Not only does he make all the ice cream he serves in house, I would believe that he sleeps there too. Max's stays open on most nights until midnight. This particular night, we were lucky to get there before he chose to close early.

He has some great flavors like Hazelnut Oreo, Mexican Chocolate, and other flavors that pop with great taste. There's too many choices to pick just one.

However, if you ask Max which two flavors you should try at the same time (i.e. Double Scoop with two different ice creams), he will be quick to tell you his theory that if you have a plate with steak, chicken, and pork on it, then you aren't eating for the taste of it as much as you are just trying to fill up.

He takes much pride in making and serving his ice cream that neither of us dared mix and match after his monologue of quality over quantity. However, it kind of made me appreciate his art of making ice cream.

This could be a good reason why he is called the Scoop Nazi.

Nevertheless, I'll always be up for visiting the ice cream counter of the Scoop Nazi. I have no doubt he wouldn't steer my taste buds in the wrong direction.

How about you?

What Makes Your World Spin?

strangers to acquaintances...

acquaintances to friends...

friends to closer friends.

You may read this thinking that I have developed one relationship that took its course from stranger to closer friends. But not so.

In actuality, this was a perfect storm. longest straw of the pick (Trying to see the whole straw thing in a new light). The stars aligned. You make the best reference possible and my night fit it like a glove.

My three references refer to three separate incidents...at the very least. The effort that I made to enjoy my day and evening, the struggles and low points of the day are gone. Completely erased.

I don't know who I need to thank for a great day and evening, but thank you.

I hope to have more moments like this. They make my world a happier place.
